Mac and Cheese Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Give your Thanksgiving leftovers a delicious makeover with this Leftover Mac and Cheese Grilled Cheese Sandwich. This recipe cleverly repurposes chilled macaroni and cheese into a golden-brown masterpiece with the help of your air fryer.


  • 2 cups leftover macaroni and cheese, chilled and set
  • 4 slices of bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese blend)


  • Assemble the Sandwich:
    • Take two slices of bread and spread a thin layer of softened butter on one side of each slice.
  • Add Leftover Mac and Cheese:
    • On the unbuttered side of one slice, place a generous layer of chilled leftover macaroni and cheese. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
