Bathed in a zesty buffalo sauce, each piece delivers a satisfying crunch and a burst of tangy heat that lingers on the palate. The air fryer transforms humble cauliflower into a mouthwatering, plant-based alternative to traditional buffalo wings, ensuring a guilt-free indulgence without compromising on taste.

Ingredients:

For the Cauliflower:

  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into bite-sized florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Buffalo Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank's RedHot)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (or vegan butter for a vegan option)
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce (optional, or use a vegan alternative)
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Optional Dipping Sauce:

  • Blue cheese or ranch dressing (vegan alternatives are available)

Instructions:

For the Cauliflower:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until you have a smooth batter.
  3. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it's well-coated, and let any excess batter drip off.
  4. Place the battered cauliflower in a single layer in the EaZy MealZ Crisper Basket, in order to get it crispy; leaving space between each piece.
  5. Air fry for 18-20 minutes, flipping the cauliflower halfway through, until they are golden brown and crispy.

For the Buffalo Sauce:

  1. While the cauliflower is air frying, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a saucepan, combine hot sauce, melted butter, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce (if using), garlic powder, and onion powder. Heat over low-medium heat, stirring until well combined.
  2. Once the cauliflower is done, transfer the crispy florets to a large bowl.
  3. Pour the buffalo sauce over the cauliflower and toss until all pieces are coated evenly.

To Serve:

  1. Arrange the cauliflower buffalo wings on a serving plate.
  2. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce, such as blue cheese or ranch dressing.
  3. Garnish with chopped green onions or celery sticks if desired.

The secret to getting them crispy around the edges is to cook it in the EaZy MealZ Crisper Basket. Enjoy your flavorful and spicy Cauliflower Buffalo Wings!
