Ingredients:

For the strudel filling:

  • 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced (such as Granny Smith)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

For assembling the strudel:

  • 5 to 6 sheets of phyllo dough, thawed
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions:

  • Prepare the Filling:

  • Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  • Assemble the Strudel:
    • Lay out one sheet of phyllo dough on a clean, dry surface. Brush it lightly with melted butter.
    • Sprinkle a thin layer of breadcrumbs over the buttered phyllo sheet.
    • Continue layering and buttering each phyllo sheet, sprinkling breadcrumbs in between, until you have used 5 to 6 sheets in total.
  • Add the Apple Filling:
    • Place the apple filling along one of the longer edges of the phyllo dough, leaving about 2 inches of space on each side.
    • Carefully fold the sides of the phyllo dough over the filling, then roll up the strudel.
  • Air Fry the Strudel:
