Ginger-Orange Cranberry Sauce

Elevate your Thanksgiving table with the vibrant burst of flavors in our Ginger-Orange Cranberry Sauce. Fresh cranberries, simmered to perfection, mingle with the zesty notes of orange juice and the warmth of grated ginger. This delightful twist on the classic cranberry sauce introduces a harmonious blend of tartness and sweetness, creating a side dish that is both familiar and refreshingly unique. Add a touch of cinnamon for an extra layer of warmth or let the pure essence of the ingredients shine.

Ingredients:

  • 1 (12-ounce) bag fresh cranberries, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • Zest of one orange
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions:

  • Prepare Ingredients:
    • Rinse and drain the fresh cranberries. Grate the ginger and zest the orange.
  • Combine Ingredients:
    • In a DiamoTech Wok, combine the cranberries, granulated sugar, orange juice, orange zest, grated ginger, and ground cinnamon if using.
  • Cook on the Stove:
    • Bring the DiamoTech Wok to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently to dissolve the sugar.
  • Simmer:
    • Once it boils, reduce the heat to medium-low and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes or until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
  • Adjust Sweetness:
    • Taste the sauce and adjust the sweetness if needed. Add more sugar if you prefer a sweeter sauce.
  • Cool:
    • Remove the DiamoTech Wok from heat and allow the cranberry sauce to cool. It will continue to thicken as it cools.
  • Serve or Refrigerate:
    • Once cooled, transfer the Ginger-Orange Cranberry Sauce to a serving dish. It can be served immediately or refrigerated until ready to serve.
  • Garnish (Optional):
    • Garnish with additional orange zest or a slice of orange for a decorative touch.

This Ginger-Orange Cranberry Sauce offers a perfect balance of tartness from the cranberries, sweetness from the orange juice, and a subtle warmth from the ginger. It's a delightful and flavorful addition to your Thanksgiving feast!
