A little spicy, a little cheesy, and a lot of fun, these poppers are sure to be a hit at your Halloween party.
- 12 jalapeño peppers
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough
- Edible googly eyes
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Cooking spray
- Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- While the air fryer is preheating, prepare the jalapeño peppers. Cut each pepper in half lengthwise, and carefully remove the seeds and membranes. You can use a small spoon for this, but be cautious as jalapeños can be spicy.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.
- Stuff each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture. Be generous with the filling but make sure not to overfill.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
- Cut the triangles into thin strips, creating the "bandages" for your mummies.
- Wrap the strips of dough around each stuffed jalapeño pepper, leaving a small gap for the mummy's face.
- In a small bowl, beat the egg to create an egg wash. Brush a small amount of the egg wash over each mummy popper to help them brown in the EaZy MealZ Air Fryer Crisper Basket.
- Place the mummy jalapeño poppers in a single layer in your preheated air fryer basket. You may need to cook them in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Air fry the mummy poppers at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes or until the crescent roll dough is golden brown and the peppers are tender.
- Remove the mummy jalapeño poppers from the air fryer and let them cool slightly.
- Before serving, attach edible googly eyes to the small gap left on each mummy's face. You can use a dab of cream cheese or a small amount of the egg wash to help them stick.
- Serve your Mummy Jalapeño Poppers with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy this spooky and delicious Halloween treat!
