Air Fry Mummy Jalapeno Poppers

Air Fry Mummy Jalapeno Poppers

Crispy and cute, these Mummy Jalapeño Poppers are the perfect spooky snack for your Halloween festivities. Hollowed-out jalapeño peppers are generously stuffed with a creamy and cheesy filling, then lovingly wrapped in crescent roll dough bandages. As they emerge from the air fryer, golden and delicious, these mummies get their finishing touch with edible googly eyes. A little spicy, a little cheesy, and a lot of fun, these poppers are sure to be a hit at your Halloween party.

Ingredients:

  • 12 jalapeño peppers
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • Edible googly eyes
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. While the air fryer is preheating, prepare the jalapeño peppers. Cut each pepper in half lengthwise, and carefully remove the seeds and membranes. You can use a small spoon for this, but be cautious as jalapeños can be spicy.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.
  4. Stuff each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture. Be generous with the filling but make sure not to overfill.
  5. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
  6. Cut the triangles into thin strips, creating the "bandages" for your mummies.
  7. Wrap the strips of dough around each stuffed jalapeño pepper, leaving a small gap for the mummy's face.
  8. In a small bowl, beat the egg to create an egg wash. Brush a small amount of the egg wash over each mummy popper to help them brown in the EaZy MealZ Air Fryer Crisper Basket.
  9. Place the mummy jalapeño poppers in a single layer in your preheated air fryer basket. You may need to cook them in batches, depending on the size of your air fryer.
  10. Air fry the mummy poppers at 350°F (175°C) for 8-10 minutes or until the crescent roll dough is golden brown and the peppers are tender.
  11. Remove the mummy jalapeño poppers from the air fryer and let them cool slightly.
  12. Before serving, attach edible googly eyes to the small gap left on each mummy's face. You can use a dab of cream cheese or a small amount of the egg wash to help them stick.
  13. Serve your Mummy Jalapeño Poppers with your favorite dipping sauce and enjoy this spooky and delicious Halloween treat!
